Bullpadel Ionic Light Padel Racket

Bullpadel's lightweight family is where the brand stops trying to be Tapia and starts targeting the player who actually wants to enjoy a 90-minute mixed-doubles session without their wrist complaining. The Ionic Light at £150 sits between the cheaper Indiga and the £260+ Vertex/Hack lines, and it does something neither of them does — it stays light without going dead.

The MultiEva soft core is the headline. Off mishits the Ionic absorbs vibration noticeably better than the carbon-fibreglass beginner round-frames it competes with, which matters if you have any history of tennis elbow or tend to hit late at the back glass. The carbon-glass hybrid surface gives you enough bite for placement on bandejas without demanding the stiff swing the Vertex needs.

Where it disappoints is on attack. The 38mm round head with low balance just does not generate the head speed for finishing volleys at the net. If you are progressing toward attacking padel, you will outgrow it within a year and want a hybrid teardrop instead.

Ideal owner: the 3.5-DUPR intermediate UK player who plays two or three times a week, prefers control to power, and has either come back from injury or wants to play comfortably into their 50s. Wrong owner: the improving young attacker who already finishes points at the net.

UK stock is patchier than Bullpadel's flagship lines. Padel Nuestro UK and Pure Racket Sport carry it; Amazon UK floats stock irregularly at the £150 mark.
