Paddle weight is the single most important specification for arm health and playability — more important than face material, core thickness or shape. A paddle that is too heavy causes tennis elbow and slow hands at the kitchen. Too light and you lose stability against drives and need bigger swings for power.
The ranges in this quiz are real-world UK weights including factory overgrip. Manufacturer specs sometimes list paddles 5-10g lighter than they weigh on a kitchen scale, so always weigh before committing if you are at the edge of a bracket.
